I have raised 2 daughters, cared for children in my home, worked as a preschool teacher at Apple Tree preschool, worked as an Education Assistant casual with the CBE, worked as an Aftercare worker with Maria Montessori Education Centre and Calgary Waldorf School where I am currently employed.
My brother is profoundly deaf, therefore I know American sign language. I have volunteered with developmentally delayed children in institutional, day camp and social group settings. I lived in L'Arche for 3 months, living and working with Developmentally delayed adults. My work as an Ed Assistant with the CBE was with special needs children.
