Early childhood educator Job in Ottawa, Ontario

Here we grow again! Tiny Hoppers is hiring a full time director for our downtown Ottawa location. Duties will include:

Fulltime Director Position

Overseeing the daily operations of the child care centre

· Creating, Reviewing and overseeing lesson plans for Infant, Toddler, Preschool and school age programs.

· Weekly Inventory of supplies

· Answering of telephone and email inquiries and virtual tours

· Communicating daily with parents by phone, email or in person

· Administrative duties

· Maintaining records in accordance to the CCEYA

· Monthly fire drills

· Collecting of payments

· Keeping centre clean, clutter free, and to Tiny Hoppers standards

· Creation of lesson plans and lesson plan activities

· Conducting of staff meetings

· Create monthly HDLH mini workshops

· Create monthly newsletter

· Creating monthly Facebook and blog posts

· Create mini workshops for loose parts

· Manage staffing including hiring and terminations

· Daily covid screening for staff and children

· Creating menus in accordance with the Canada food guide

· Assistance with increasing social media sales, will manage corporate social media accounts. Must be well versed in social media.

Reporting to the National Curriculum Manager

The following qualifications are required:
Must be an RECE (no exceptions)
Must have at least 3 years experience as an RECE
Must have current Standard First Aid and CPR
Excellent knowledge of CCEYA
Excellent communication skills with Parents and Staff
Must have up to date immunizations
Must be proficient with computers, word template databases
Must have managerial experience
