We are a staffing agency whose client, Churchill Park Family Care Society, is looking for full time educators for their PlayPenn location and their Bright Lights Centre . Churchill Park is a non-profit, accredited child care agency that has been providing quality child care programs and family support services in Calgary since 1970. Job Description • Full time Educators will create an, organized, safe, sanitary and warm environment to promote children’s health and well-being and maintain a psychologically safe environment for each child and the group as a whole. Educators will implement Churchill park Family Care Society’s philosophy of Early Childhood Education and care. They will plan and implement a developmentally appropriate variety of activities that supports and promotes the development of all children. Using the principles of emergent curriculum, Educators will seek and incorporate children’s interests and input in the programming. Educators will build and maintain positive relationships with parents, colleagues and children in their care. Educators will be responsible for any relevant forms and reports, as well as keeping daily records updated and posted for families to review. They will also manage a family information board, a family communication book and manage each child’s personal portfolio to reflect the child’s growth and development. Qualifications and Skills • Child Development Worker or Supervisor Certification (formerly level 2/3) • Preference given to applicants with Early Childhood Education training • Knowledge of Emergent Curriculum or the Early Learning Curriculum Framework an asset • Absolutely must be patient, kind and loving • Child Care First Aid • Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Search Hours • 37.5 hours/week with exact shifts based on the needs of the centre Compensation & Benefits • Competitive wages based on qualifications, plus accreditation top up • Wage increase after 3 months of employment • Comprehensive benefits plan after six months of employment • Wellness days, paid sick days, paid special recognition days Start Date • As soon as suitable candidates are found How to Apply If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in an opportunity to work for a well-recognized organization that promotes professional and team development, we want to hear from you!
