I have experiences in working with all groups of children such as infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten children. I have achieved hands on experience to accomplish activities for toddler, pre-schoolers and kindergarten children based on their developmental domain and needs. During my mandatory placement program in Blake Street Early Learning and Childcare Center, I understand the importance of excellent child care service with safety and accuracy which also includes trusting care for toddlers, assisting with their meals, diapering, toileting and outdoor activities. I guided and assisted toddlers to develop the habits of eating, and washing hands. Communicated with parents regularly to discuss progress and problems of children. Supervised children’s regular outdoor activities with the consent of the RECE. Worked and assisted RECE in her daily professional activities and discussed the needs and interests of children to develop activities. During my mandatory field placement programs in Oakridge Public School, Toronto, ON, I worked with junior and senior kindergarten classes. I planned and organized age appropriate activities for children. I Developed and implemented activities for a class of 28 students. I prepared class plans, and supervised regular outdoor activities of the children. I supported the RECE and Teacher in planning the future activities of the class . I completed the one block week, and covered media arts, dramatic play, science, math, music. I communicated with parents regularly to keep them informed about children’s progress. I assessed children to explore the interests of children and their skills while I worked in William Burgess Jr. YMCA, Toronto ON as a part of my field placement, I worked with preschooler. I developed and implemented activities to support and promote children’s development and interactions and completed required documentation. I conducted age appropriate activities covering media arts, dramatic play, science, math and music. I completed two block weeks field placement. I engaged children by activities and supervised their regular outdoor activities. I provided support to RECE in her routine work & Teacher in planning the future activities. I communicated with parents regularly to keep them informed about children’s progress. I have experience to work with the children with special need. In YMCA, I found a preschooler child who needed special care. My ECE supervising teacher sometimes asked to observe the child who showed little bit arrogance such as throughout food, and screaming in the room. I tried to make him understand and manage though he does not care about what I am saying, So sometimes I ignore the child but I observed the child very carefully and report to ECE.
