Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I have spent 5 summers as a Camp Counsellor to children aged 2.5-5, as well as been employed during many school break camps. I also spent four months as a nanny to two girls, aged 3 and 7. Lastly, I have had four teaching practicums. I have student taught the following grades: Junior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Mild Intellectual Disabilities, and Grade 5/6. I have student taught in a Mild Intellectual Disability classroom. These students, aged 10-14, possessed disabilities such as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, ADD, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. I quickly learned how to effectively differentiate instruction for these learners, as well as simply Ontario curriculum expectations. Also, I spent the past March Break as a mediator (one-on-one counselor) for a 5 year old child with ADHD.
