I have multiple years of professional experience in educational programming for children, and assisted in planning, and facilitating recreational programs and activities. I have an extensive background working with a wide variety of ages, both in my past and current experiences working with children in an educational environment. I am well versed with children who have social, emotional, and behavioral needs within several aspects of my professional and volunteer experience. I have extensive experience in the role of an ECA which has helped me develop the key skills necessary to provide each child with a unique learning experience. With my resourcefulness, I am highly capable of creating and implementing a curriculum that addresses each child’s individual needs and interests. Working in the ECE field, I understand the importance of maintaining relationships and confidentiality and aim to advocate for the child I am extremely knowledgeable of the ELECT document. Ensuring that all of my experiences and activities with the children are developmentally appropriate and meet curriculum goals as required. I have planned, implemented, promoted and supervised youth programs in the summer, ensuring participant safety while managing all risks. I have accepted increasing levels of responsibility and I am always willing to tackle new assignments. I have also assisted in the organizing and overseeing of multiple events for the City of Grande Prairie over the past 4 years. This has given me experience in finding solutions to high stress situations while dealing with an extensive amount of citizens.
