Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

Hi there, my name is Tiffany Bernardo and all my life I have dreamt of providing young children with fun and engaging activities to help them grow and develop as individuals. Since becoming an active member of our working society, I have gained experience in private childcare as well as customer service.. As a private childcare provider I was responsible for providing engaging and exciting activities for the clients child. I was responsible for providing a safe, comfortable and inclusive environment for the child. I prepared nutritious meals and assisted with toileting. I administered medicine at appropriate times and as directed by parents. I planned and supervised neighbourhood walks, outdoor play and play dates. I also volunteered at the TCDSB as a classroom helper for the summer school literacy program. Some of my responsibilities included assisting the classroom teacher in operating literacy and small reading groups. I assisted the classroom teacher in organizing and leading reading strategies, I supervised students during outdoor play and school excursions. I was responsible for administering classroom snack and washroom routines. I also assisted in the organization and cleanliness on the class. Currently I am working part-time at Winners. As a customer service representative, I have gained excellent experience working as a team player as well as independently, working and handling people from different walks of life, problem solving and mainting a personable and a positive attitude while working. I think that my previous experience will demonstrate that I am a fit candidate to work as an early childhood assistant. I have aspirations of obtaining an ECE diploma in the near future. I am ready and willing to begin working in any childcare centre that will assist in my growth as an educator.
