Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

As an early childhood educator I strive to always be understanding, patient and flexible when working with each child and handling any possible issues that arise. I am enthusiastic and able to take the lead in a classroom and with co-workers. I am responsible and organized with all documentation and necessary paperwork. As well, I have been in the field for 5 years, and have had experience working with children from ages 1 to 12. I have also had experience working with children that have special needs and children in Sick Kids hospital. I am currently a supervisor as well as lead ECE in preschool school and kindergarten programs.I have a working knowledge of the document ‘’How does learning happen?’’ and use it regularly within documentation. I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the childcare centre as well as providing oversight and direction to employees through training, supervising and supporting staff. I believe in building positive and respectful relationships with children, families and staff. I am also responsible for planning, implementing and supervising all learning opportunities at the centre to make sure that they meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of each child.
