Early Childhood Educator in Orangeville, Ontario

I have 3 years of working experience abroad in a Canadian school in the Middle East learning to adapt and overcome unforeseen challenges in my own preschool classroom with 24 little ones. Expert in multitasking and remembering important details. In 3 years I have truly learned that a child's home is their first learning environment; the classroom should be a safe place to learn and grow independently with guidance, kindness, and patience. I am constantly searching for resources and valuable experiences for the children inside the school and surrounding community. For example pioneering a reading buddy program between KG1 and grade 7 students and helping set up the school's first ever drama production. I have advocated and commenced a scholastic book club for the entire school population. I offer age appropriate first aid classes for young students and I am passionate about teaching swimming as an essential skill for early learning. I have experience working with many students with a variety of special needs and unique cases. My support and guidance is always available to new KG1 teachers entering the KG1 classroom next door. My career goal is to pursue an education in speech-language pathology and so I am a passionate advocate for children's early language and literacy skills. Reggio Emilia has a special place in my heart although I know each childcare approach hold value for a child's development including Waldorf and Montessori. The job I am searching for is one that really values the hard work a committed ECE puts into their work.
