Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I believe when there is purpose behind the work we do, it fuels us to work for the change we believe is possible. Beyond my professional background, I have the aspiration of surrounding myself with those who are committed to human rights and change. I have experience working as a Homestay Coordinator for an exchange agency based in Toronto called Muskoka Language International. While having to fulfill a number of administrative tasks, I was exposed to partnership stewardship opportunities with homestay families, who I had to develop strong relationships. Moreover, I was also responsible for managing students’ arrivals and departures from Toronto. I had the opportunity to work more strategically within the exchange industry as well, acting as a Market Analyst with the Institute of Innovation and Management (IMI) at University of Toronto. I performed market research on several key countries the Institute will be exploring recruitment initiatives with. Making use of my strong strategic analysis and communication skills, I prepared and submitted reports on recruitment opportunities in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Turkey. My research was used to help determine where IMI will recruit and promote their programs in the coming year. Previously, I worked as a Marketing Analyst focused in Consumer Behaviour at a large telecommunications company in Brazil. In this role, I evaluated outcomes of behaviour researches producing and presenting information for the communications and media development teams. I developed strong organizational skills and worked with large amounts of data to track brand attributes such as preference, rejection and linkage. I easily adapt to new environments and have many transferable skills which I have honed through my diverse experience. I am ready and willing to put those in use of a greater good.
