Early Childhood Educator in Red Deer, Alberta

My name is Kristine Chow and I am very motivated individual with a passion for working with children and families. I am seeking a job opportunity where I can grow personally and professionally. I am seeking a long term permanent position, full time, however I can accommodate PT if necessary. I have extensive education and work experience in the Early Education field, in settings such as preschools, daycares, elementary schools, seasonal camps, and more. My job as an Educator is to provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn and grow. My belief is that children learn through hands on experiences, new opportunities and that the Educators role is to scaffold activities and curriculum to meet the children's needs. I believe in a healthy active lifestyle and that children thrive off of out door opportunities within nature, and also bringing nature into the classroom to help us learn. This includes experimenting with natures loose parts, getting in touch with our senses outdoors, making predictions and more. I am a graduate of Red Deer College with Honors from the Early Learning and Childcare Diploma program, as well as completed my first year of the Child and Youth Bachelors Degree program at University of Victoria. Throughout my education I have taken other beneficial courses such as child psychologies, health and nutrition and more. I believe that I am a well-rounded individual that would be a positive asset to your team! My strengths are communication, reliability and most importantly my passion for working with children and families. My ultimate goal is to be a positive influence in children's lives and to help them form trusting relationships, and foundational life skills for their future.
