Early Childhood Educator in Cambridge, Ontario

My name is Jennifer Raposo! I have been in childcare for 10 years working with children in Toddler,Preschool and also before and after school programs. I am very deticated to providing quality care and learning to children that i have worked with and hope to work with. I have moved to Cambridge from Oakville almost 2 years ago. I enjoy implementing and planning art and crafts, special events, singing songs and reading to the children I try to make the classroom environment a fun and safe learning environment. Since being in the field I have been able to work with many different children with different backgrounds and health concerns. I have had experience with dealing with allergies, asthma and also a deaf child that had cochlear impenetrable. I had to be responsible for administering a puffer as per parents instruction, having knowledge of how use a epi pen and following a action that was implemented by the parents and childcare staff/management, having training as to how to best care for child whom deaf with cochlear implents learning tools and strategies on how to best assist the child. I have had experience working with a daycare that implemented quality first learning strategies to help the classroom environment run more efficiently. I am trained in teaching jollyphonics using the many tools provided to help children in reading and writing skills. I hope to utilize all that I have learned thus far and hope to join a childcare setting that I can be able continue and grow doing something that I love and enjoy.
