Early Childhood Educator in Oak Ridges, Ontario

I've been working as a school assistant in an elementary school since 2003 and an ECA in a daycare after school program since 2015. I have good experience with children from kindergarten to grade 8. I assist the ECE with programming and classroom daily routine. I observe and monitor the learning environment to enhance the program, curriculum, and teaching practices to provide a supportive and safe environment for children. I am a lunch monitor at Oak Ridges Public School. I monitor in the classroom during lunch and on the field during lunch recess. Safety is the first priority. I assist children to resolve problems and when they are injured. I am an ECA in Kids Connection and Care Education. I assist the ECE in an after school program. I work with Kindergarten and grade 1. I participate in programming and organize clubs in the classrooms. I find activities that involve both the arts and sciences to create a well balanced curriculum. With both my job as an ECA and a lunch monitor, I have experience with children of varying ages and abilities including kids with special needs.
