I have worked in education for over 10 years, mostly with children with disabilities. I am compassionate, have great interpersonal skills, and am energetic and positive. I am certified by WHMIS, have had OHSA training, am current in First Aid and CPR, and have Non-Violent Crisis Intervention qualifications.

I have worked at 3 different child care centres, 2 being a student and 1 currently as a Registered Early Childhood Educator. I have worked with all ages from infants to school age At my first placement I worked with a child who had treacher collins syndrome that was 4 years old.

Through various field placement and volunteer opportunities, I have been able to gain valuable experience working with children of several age groups. This experience has also strengthened my love for the early learning and child care profession. I often care for my sister who has special needs. Duties may include diapering, dressing, operating feeding pump, etc.

I worked as a camp counsellor working with children up to 10 years old, creating activities everyday for them to do. I went to Fleming College for Educational Assistant. I have done 2 places within my time there where I worked in special needs classrooms. One was classified as fragile which I had to do lifting, toileting, feeding and more.
