We are a child care centre in Coquitlam, BC. We follow the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education. Currently we service ages 1 to 10 in the following programs: Infant and Toddler, Group Daycare, Preschool, and Out of School Care, Also, in the summer months we have the additional programs of Summer Camps and Pre-Kindergarten. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our community in the capacity of a location manager. Therefore, they need to be willing to manage both administrative and childcare aspects of this line of work. The qualifications/job description is as follows. Job Description for (includes a variety of tasks for both the Early Childhood Educator role and the Manager role. includes but is not limited to the following): Supervising staff and implementing policies and procedures Maintaining inventory of supplies Being the point of reference for registered families Planning and implementing classroom activities for children Maintaining a clean and safe environment for children Collaborating with other staff members on program initiatives Creating a positive setting for children to learn Design and develop learning programs to facilitate children's emotional, cognitive, social, and physical growth Communicate with parents regarding their children(s)' development via reporting Supervise indoor and outdoor play (including field trips) Release children to authorized parent/guardian Qualifications for Early Childhood Educator / Manager include: Early Childhood Educator License to Practice is required (Infant and Toddler qualification is considered an asset) Experience with children aged 0-12 Up to date First Aid Certification and Criminal Record Check are required At least 1 year of Managerial experience References Doctor's note of good health If you are interested, please contact us by email at [email protected] with your resume attached.
