Early Childhood Educator in Ajax, Ontario

• Provides care for Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers from age 3 months to 4 years old until developmentally ready for the next age group, physically including gross motor and fine motor, social-emotionally, communicational, and cognitively. • Maintains a safe and healthy environment according to safety standards. • Creates and maintains confidential accident/incident reports and communication logs. • Successfully completes educational training and workshops to provide high quality service within the program which enhances teaching abilities. • Assures child care regulations and procedures are always followed. • Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits. • Read to children, and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs. • Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games. • Assist children and serve meals and refreshments to children and regulate rest periods. • Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas. • Organize activities or implement a curriculum that allow children to learn about the world and explore interests. • Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
