Early Childhood Educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

Howard Park Children’s Centre (HPCC) is currently looking for a dynamic and experienced child care professional to fill the full-time permanent role of Director for our before and after school care, lunch programs and summer camps for children aged 4-12 years. Key Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s Degree is an asset, an ECE Diploma is required Minimum Five to seven years of directly related experience in ECE, this should include four (4) years of supervisory and financial/budget management experience Valid and current: Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators Standard First Aid / CPR-C certification Certificate in WHMIS and Health and Safety training (or obtained before employment) Food Handler Certification within 2 years of expiry (or obtained before employment) Expert-level knowledge and experience to support the implementation of “How Does Learning Happen?” principles Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability in coaching others in a respectful, empowering and inspiring way to achieve results Abilities to manage a cohesive team setting for all staff, and provide feedback on performance Establish and maintain productive relationships with all levels of government, community-based organizations and the Board Sound decision-making skills to quickly identify, assess, understand, act on and communicate risks and issues In your cover letter, please articulate your experience with any of the following: Toronto Children’s Services – AQI, CSIS, etc. CCEYA (current legislation) and CCLS.
