Early Childhood Educator in Collingwood, Ontario

I have worked with the main YMCA for two years as a Pre-School, Child, and Youth Instructor. Where I taught the children development skills. example learning a sport basketball, dripping a ball, how to shot a ball and passing. I would also help show children new crafts and play games with them in different programs. In-between seasons I would be a summer camp counsellor at the YMCA as well. I would teach children from pre-school to grade 7. I worked at the YMCA Child Care Centre as a Early Childhood Educator Assistant. I have worked in every room from infants of 4 months to 4 years old. I would support the Early Childhood Educators by helping plan for things the children took an interest in. I would help do daily tasks with the children such as doing diapers, helping put out food, having water play/ sand play out and having a gross motor skill for them to do outside. From January to June I worked as a supply in each room and enjoyed learning about every child in the YMCA Centre. I worked in the Pre-school room for the drainage of the summer of 2016 and then a month in the toddler room.
