Early Childhood Educator in St. Paul, Alberta

I worked in a daycare for a few weeks as part of my course in Blue Quills school and then I worked a few weeks in an Elementary School grade 3 class. When I continued my education my teacher asked the classmates to plan a play group program in Vermilion. We designed two huge classrooms in a play group program with children ages from birth to 5 years old. Our program was designed for the children and used the college\'s furniture. We planned all the activities and provided lunch/snacks and played with the children that used all 6 levels of the child\'s development. I continued with my education with an IPT in a grade 3 rural school classroom. During this time I planned the lesson in Language Arts, Math Science and Social Studies with a unit on Ukraine in March-April of 2008. After that I then did my APT in a grade 1 classroom also in a rural school. At this time, I did lessons in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science with one complete unit on building things. The students made their own cardboard box cars and for the end activity they gave their lunches to the office and needed a ticket to get get it back and this was like a drive through like McDonald\'s. At the end of the day the students then drove there cars to the gym to watch a drive in movie with popcorn provided. This was a huge success for me as I never thought that it would go this far. The students enjoyed this very much. I worked with a student that had ADD and ADHD. There was another student that was an ESL due to his first language he was also learning English.
