Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I completed my first placement at George Brown College in an infant classroom. I enjoy working with infants and was easily able to adapt to all of their individual schedules. I was able to quickly building strong, trusting relationships with most of the infants in the classroom during my 7 week placement. I have knowledge of the ELECT document and can plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities. I completed my second placement in a kindergarten classroom at Clinton Street Public School. I learned a lot about creating routines because I started the placement on the first day of school in September in a fresh classroom. I learned the importance of documentation at this placement. I got a lot of experience recording observations for the teacher and used some of them to create my own activities. I have very minimal experience with children with special needs. I have never worked solely with children with special needs.
