Early Childhood Educator in Barrie, Ontario

Sir/Madame, I have recently completed the Early Childhood Education diploma with honours at Georgian College and have obtained membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators. As I am gaining experience and skill by exploring the field through numerous unique roles, I would like to be considered for the position of “Designated Early Childhood Educator” available with Simcoe County District School Board. As an educator, I bring forth skills such as creativity, flexibility and charisma. This is indicative in the way I develop and implement lessons and experiences that meet expectations of our current curriculum. I provide opportunities for self-expression through various media of the arts. I strive to focus on and support the development of the whole child- cognitively, physically and social-emotionally. I actively listen, observe and respond to each child’s unique interests and needs, which are heavily considered and/or satisfied when developing lessons, tasks or various other essential elements of programming. I take pride in my strong interpersonal skills, tact and positive attitude which have consistently aided in the development of constructive, professional partnerships, both within the work place and with families. I recognize the integral role families play in setting a positive tone for their child’s success in educational endeavors; this partnership is invaluable and thus every effort is made to support its continuation.
