Early Childhood Educator in Burlington, Ontario

I have worked with children from 3-18yrs old in an educational setting for the past 25 years. I have worked as a Youth Counselor for children at risk, with a Family Services organization for 5 years. I also ran a home daycare for 12 years where I cared for 6 children at a time, ranging from 2 to 12 years old. I am a Certified Facilitator of a Parent and Child learning program called Developing Capable People, where I facilitated several 12 week parent workshops throughout the year, for over 5 years. I have worked as a Behavior Counselor for children with special needs and challenges that are on the Autism spectrum, ADD, Downs, Cerebral Palsy, and FAS, as well as children and youth struggling with anxiety and mental illness. I have worked within the Deaf Community for the past 15 years extensively in a variety of different capacities including Chairing community projects, volunteering on several in school and community committees, working at the school in the SLP department supporting children with language development, and working as the Coordinator of volunteers for a agency that provided services for Deaf children and their families throughout the GTA.
