Hi, my name is Jenny Song. I am from Seoul, South Korea. I finished studying classical music at Kyung Hee University in South Korea. I currently study for ECE at GBC since 2021 and will be finished in April in 2023. I used to play the viola in a professional orchestra and teach all ages from 4 to ’50s. I had began playing the violin at the age of 5, then switched to viola when I was 13 years old. I have always wanted to invest my time learning more about children’s education. It brought me to the Early Childhood Education program and obviously I enjoy learning about children. I used to volunteer at a church about 2 years where the pastor takes care of abandoned babies. Since then, I found myself interested in helping children. My personality type is a campaigner (ENFP), who is extroverted(E), Intuitive(N), feeling(F), and prospecting (P). I used to be a women’s soccer player, still love playing sports such as badminton, swimming, ski, ice skating etc. I am out-going, energetic, ambitious, curious, loving, and caring person. When I see someone who needs me, I don’t hesitate to help them. It motivates me to be a better person. I believe that a child can change the world, and the responsibility is on the educator, the parents, and the environment. I look forward to meeting children at a Child Care Centre where I will be working and making good memories with everyone. I will not stop thinking about the best way to educate children. My goal in the classroom is to make children feel safe, playful, and sense of belonging. I will not stop reviewing the resources and the course materials I have learned from school. I am looking for a part-time job to work when I don't have classes. I would like to discuss about the shift.
