Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario
A dedicated and highly skilled RECE, Supervisor, Program Developer and Child Centrist Teacher who honours the inner life and drive of each child by a responsive and enthusiastic presence.
Personalize learning opportunities and inclusive group skills allow each child to thrive and develop mutual care and consideration, interest and collaboration. The classroom is a learning community, vibrant, with depth of meaning and high level of growth and fulfillment for children, parents and teachers alike.
Learning how to learn by asking questions and seeking answers builds confidence and assures a solid foundation for children to build on. As a RECE my role is to combine my strong observation and listening skills with my ability to ask open questions that stimulate curiosity. Facilitating the children's access to resources and new experiences supports their investigative impulses to pursue answers which stimulate deeper questions for further learning. I am a strong proponent of natural materials in the classroom. Lily pads and tree fungus, conch shells and salamanders are just some of the many hands on materials I keep an out for to enrich my classroom and provide jumping off points for science, literature, songs, social studies and physical activities and games. I am a life long learner.
I cherish each new day I am in the mist of children who inspire my professional growth.
From the heart,
