Early Childhood Educator in Hamilton, Ontario

Hello! My name is Ava, and I am based in Hamilton, Ontario. As an Early Childhood Educator, I create nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally rich environments where children feel safe, seen, and supported. I approach every interaction with empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for each child’s individuality. Whether I’m planning sensory-based activities, supporting social-emotional learning, or simply sitting on the floor listening with care, my goal is to foster a sense of belonging and joy. I’m at my best when I’m helping children discover their strengths and navigate their world with confidence. My diploma in Early Childhood Education from George Brown College provided me with strong foundational knowledge, but it’s my passion for helping others—especially children—that drives me to go above and beyond. Families trust me, and colleagues rely on me, because I lead with heart, consistency, and calm. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in licensed child care settings and community programs. I’m confident in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate programming, documenting learning, and working collaboratively with families. I hold First Aid & CPR/AED Level C and Behaviour Coaching certifications, and I’m committed to ongoing growth in my field. What sets me apart is my ability to connect—genuinely—with children, families, and peers alike. I believe that care and education go hand in hand, and I will show up every day on a part-time basis ready to support both. At this time, I’m looking for a role with availability for 4 days per week – on Thursdays, afternoon shift starting at 1, and on Fridays, morning shift until 1.
