Crystal performed very well in the Before and After School program. She was required to set up the day’s activities each day in her program space. Crystal worked independently with her group and asked for support when needed. Occasionally, the group needed to move locations due to activities in the school. Crystal was able to do this without any difficulties, and still offer a quality program. Through the years Crystal also worked in our childcare programs as a casual/summer staff. She was able to perform her job regardless of the space she was in. Crystal communicates effectively both orally and written. She formed great relationships with the children and families as well as her coworkers. Crystal was able to communicate any concerns as they arose. She was a great team player!

I worked with Crystal when I was the Special Education Resource Teacher at New Prospect School for 6 years. She worked with a variety of students: providing authentic life skill opportunities to at-risk students and also providing academic and social skill programming to a Gr. 8 student with a safety plan who was only attending a portion of the school day. Crystal assisted in making his transition to the classroom and the high school successful. Crystal always approached tasks and situations in a confident, professional manner. Her mindset was that she wanted to always be the best when working with her students, teachers and other EA's. Crystal was always very flexible and was self-directed in creating visual schedules and compiling data collection logs. She was always a valuable contributor to the school team during case conferences and IPRC's. Crystal wanted to learn the newest technology programs during Professional Development days to further support her students.
