The center is located at the Christian Fellowship Centre in the center of the town, close to School District #69. We have one room which provides care for 12 little souls to learn and grow. Job description: Little Gems Infant & Toddler Centre is an infant/toddler childcare centre that is looking for a full-time ECE or ECEA who is reliable, creative and nurturing. We are ideally looking for educators with their Basic ECE but we will consider those with their ECEA qualifications. The successful candidate must have a passion for working with children and thrive in a team environment. Some Duties & Responsibilities: - Plan, carry out, and assess age-appropriate activities and experiences in line with the Little Gems' goals and guidelines - Creation of a safe, respectful, and fair environment for children and staff. - Develop, implement & supervise activities in a positive and supportive environment to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual & social needs of the children within the program while establishing routines for children - Ensure there is constant two-way, open communication with parents - Attend to the children’s physical needs for toileting, eating, dressing, and learning - Establish effective and cooperative teamwork and communication Benefits: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site childcare - On-site parking - Active work environment - Professional development & educational subsidy opportunities Working Hours: Little Gems is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm for parents convince. Each teacher has an 8-hour shift, including a 30 minutes paid break, which makes up a total of 40 hours per week. We are looking for a teacher who will work from the 8:45 am to 4:45 pm shift. We provide paid vacation time, paid sick days, and a benefits package. Salary: Competitive Pay. Salaries will be based on your certification, experience and qualifications.
