Early Childhood Educator in Calgary, Alberta

My name is Kelly Letourneau; my positive, outgoing attitude, diverse professional background and credentials would make me an ideal candidate as a Early childhood professional. As my resume outlines, I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program in 2009 from Bow Valley College. As you may be aware, Bow Valley strives itself on providing their graduates with the proper skill sets and tools to be an asset in the field of working with children and youth. In 2015 I opened a Regulated and established day home, during my three years of operating I underwent Accreditation approval visits, and monthly unannounced visits from my consultant. I had the opportunity to grow professionally gaining knowledge in administrative, planning, budgeting, Day home procedures, licensing protocols and many more rewarding tasks that allowed me to gain great experience and knowledge. In November 2020 I was the Program Director and Kindergarten program lead for a before and after school program. I have gained countable experience in administration, helped in creating a program plan for the new licensing Early learning and childcare Act, developed a curriculum for the program, supervised 3-5 staff Mentored and supervised practicum students and maintained a professional demeanor for families of creations Inc Childcare. Recently I finished my certificate at MRU in the Event management course, not only does this allow me diverse career opportunities but it allows me to build on my professional experience as an Early childhood educator. It enhances my knowledge with budgeting, Administrations, logistics, health, safety, and the confidence to work in a diverse environment.
