An internationally educated nurse with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Postgraduate certification in Obstetric and Neonatal nursing. Nursing experience of 5 years in the home country. Extremely adaptable to new work environments with great collaboration and creativity skills. Demonstrate an advanced level of English language and a native level of Brazilian Portuguese. Currently looking for a position as a Nanny to gain new experiences in Canada. As an Internationally trained nurse, I have gained some valuable experience caring for children. During my education, I worked for a family of 2 kids, an 18-months-old and a 4-years-old. I was responsible for the kids in the afternoons, I would play and entertain them, and at the same time, I would care for them and keep them safe. With the oldest child, I would also help her emotional development by helping her deal with school issues. In my second family care, I cared for a twin set of 7-months-old infants; I would bathe, dress, and feed them, also engage them in playtime, and put them down for naptime. Today my work as a Pediatric ICU nurse helped me develop skills to care for children of all ages, in the hospital setting. I believe both of my experiences, as a nanny and a pediatric nurse have allowed me to further my skills to care for children’s well-being, foster their emotional and social development and this will allow me to thrive in the nanny position.
