I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. With experiences working at the Preschool and Elementary levels as well as in the activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. I believe that I have a great passion for teaching. I handled elementary students, grades 1-3 for 3 years in the Philippines and had the chance to teach in Japan for 1 year and in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for more than 4 years, both in Preschool level. I am an energetic and enthusiastic individual, specializing in English and currently taking Masters in Education major in Early Childhood Education at De La Salle University-Manila, with demonstrated ability to inspire, teach, motivate and direct students while maintaining high interest and achievement. Dedicated to providing the best education and care to learners. Consistently maintain excellent relations with students, parents, faculty, and administrators. Self-motivated with strong planning, organizational and leadership skills. I particularly enjoy the challenge of teaching children ages 3-5 and the careful preparation of lessons allow me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that my young learners could grasp easily and integrate base on the level of their understanding. This position enables me to provide these students with a “stress-free and fun-filled learning environment” in mastering basic skills as a stepping stone for more challenging tasks and learning experiences. I am challenged to be kind-hearted in the sense that they shall feel the love and care from me, being their second mother away from home. Nevertheless, being in the classroom and surrounded by these eager and smart children in different aspects of learning, I am also challenged to be creative, nurturing, responsible and most of all, patient. I may be firm when it comes to delivering a lesson, meeting deadlines, and having them finish their tasks on or ahead of time. Yet, one thing is for sure, I do not sacrifice their chance to play, learn, grow and enjoy their time in school. This helps me to manage my time very well. This brings me to adhere to my teaching philosophy that: “To teach is to touch one’s heart and make a difference in his/her life.” For, in the long run, that’s what really matters. Managing different abilities among my students prove a difficult but satisfying challenge that makes me realize my purpose in teaching. I tailor activities to maintain the interest of high-level students without intimidating less skilled “English Speakers” especially on my previous job as a Preschool English Teacher in Japan and in Riyadh, KSA. It is really a challenge to deal with different nationalities with different skills and abilities but what is important is the essence of touching the lives of these young learners to bring out the best in them. I facilitate student learning in the most engaging and exciting way, prepared visual aids, manipulative materials, and other related activities. I discuss with the coordinator, principal/head teacher, and parents regarding the children’s performances, achievements, and behaviors in the classroom. I supervise in the maintenance and enforcement of school policies and participate in the seminars/activities sponsored by the school and other programs. A passion for and knowledge of horses create an opportunity for me to work on the best of my ability. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent, responsible, hardworking and flexible teacher who will make a positive contribution to your institution.
