Hi, my name is Raymond. I am a 28-year-old full-time 5th-year student at York University studying Psychology. I'm a bilingual graduate in French from high school. Finally, I'm enrolled in this school year. I am a non-smoker, I am comfortable with pets and I have experience taking care of kids as a Martial Artist Instructor. I have worked at a summer camp as a Camp Specialist and I'm been working with a non-for-profit before/after school/ daycare company for 4 years as a Supply Teacher Assistant with different age groups such as toddlers, preschool, and school-age. I'm also comfortable providing care while adapting to different age groups such as using critical thinking, provide emotional support for children, encourage learning through play, provide guidance on their goals and their behavioural issues. I communicate with parents about their children's strengths, challenges and then work together on a shared roadmap. I report findings to the supervisor, I can write documents, provide documentation and observations for the center. I help with programming set up the teacher, keeping count on specific child ratios. I can help serve food (vigilant on dietary restrictions/allergies), change diapers/pull-ups, follow a bedtime routine. I can swim and I can supervise multiple groups in any environment.
