Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

I believe that all children deserve to receive the necessary services and supports to develop to their greatest potential. It is through this position that I would continue to find ways in which to support children and their families to further enhance their strengths as a family unit. Having had many gratifying experiences working with children and families, I look forward to a very rewarding career in this field. As an honours graduate of the Advanced Studies in Special Needs Post Graduate Certificate program, I find it a privilege to play a part in children’s growth and development as individuals. I have worked directly with children ages birth to twelve years, and I have experienced the value of working in settings that include Nursery School, High Scope, Kindergarten, and private childcare facilities. Recently, I worked as a co-operative resource teacher with Infant Development Team at Holland Bloorview Nursery School–Scarborough Site, visiting various homes providing consultation as required to children with diverse needs. In that role, I had the opportunity to support children and families in obtaining resources and services, adapting and providing recommendations to support a child's developmental success, conduct meetings with families and outside professionals, as well as prepare an assortment of written reports.
