Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

To Whom it May Concern: I am currently working as an RECE at a Before and After Care Program. I have experience working with children from the ages of 6 months to 12 years. I have experience working in a preschool and kindergarten room. I have set up and served both morning and afternoon snack, and lunch. I have planned activities for the children based on their interests, I assisted with the daily program plans, and setting up the room according to the program. Performed outdoor checklist, and recorded children individual attendance, daily portions and nap times. I lead numerous activities for the children, and played with them throughout the day. I'm looking for a team that works well together provides positive energy for the children. Also the job of an early childhood educator has a lot of responsibilities, and it is important that you have a team that has your back. Also it is beneficial that parents are part of your team, because you can learn a lot about the child from the parents, and their progression away from school. I truly value working with children and families because children are the future, and early years shapes their minds for the future. It is very enjoyable to be part of their early years, watching them learn and discover the world around them, and learning new things from them on a daily basis. Working with children has always been a passion of mine; I love being a part of their learning environment. I think I would be a great asset to the company because I have a lot to offer as an Early Childhood Educator and I am always open to learning new things. I come from an extensive background of education, and I have a lot of experience from different avenues, which I have gained over the years. I am very adaptive, creative and enthusiastic. I have great communication skills, social skills, and I am very reliable and flexible. I am open to working with anyone, and always try my best to make the best of every situation. I enjoy providing an enriched, safe and exceptional learning environment. I strive to work in a program, which positively contributes to a childs learning experience as an individual and the class as a whole. I prefer a play base program because it is something that I believe works, and provides the best outcome for the children. I believe that children benefit the most because their learning is based off of their interest, and an emergent curriculum allows the children to grow with the program, and become a part of the program. I think that play is truly how children learn because through play they are able to develop in every domain, and they have fun while learning! I assisted with the daily program plans, and setting up the room according to the program. Assisted with the washroom and hand washing routine, and maintained a clean environment throughout the day. Performed outdoor checklist, and recorded children individual attendance, daily portions and nap times. I lead numerous activities for the children, and played with them throughout the day. Teamwork is an important aspect of being an Early Childhood Educator because working together as a team is beneficial to the child, and the organization as a whole.
