Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I have recently returned from China, having worked there for about three years with children of different ages, from as small as two years old in two different kindergartens up to 17 years in language training centers and a high school. My experience teaching children oral and written English as a second language, has helped me gain a strong understanding of children's learning styles and needs. I used games and activities to make the learning process more engaging for children. Since I was placed in different schools, I learned to adapt to different curriculum and to implement the school's teaching methods. Hence, I learned to be flexible, while working with different kinds of people. My experience working with people from diverse backgrounds will be an asset to your team and towards communicating with children's parents. I can speak Urdu/ Hindi and Punjabi fluently and can communicate well in Mandarin Chinese. I have also worked at Agincourt Community Services Association, where I led workshops for young women. I have experience recruiting and managing volunteers. The project involved my managing two volunteers who helped me blog about the workshops, as well as, in set up and wrapping up of the workshops. While in China, I also volunteered with children who had autism or other disabilities, which required a higher level of patience and care, with simpler activities.
