Early Childhood Educator in Orillia, Ontario

Over a nine year span, I have worked with children from various age groups, newborn to school age. I have worked with children in daycares, schools, church as well as social settings. My experience involved meeting the basic needs of children which involves diapering, food preparation and creating an atmosphere where children can learn how to grow and develop physically, emotionally, intellectually and psychologically. I am experienced in preparing and implementing age appropriate programming that will assist children to grow in the above mentioned areas of development. I have worked with children with special needs and I have also attended seminars and workshops to help me learn about various needs that some children may have and how to help them meet those needs. For example, I have worked as an inclusion worker with a child who was hearing impaired. As a result, I received training on how to use a headset microphone when communicating with him. I also attended Audio-visual appointments and occupational therapy appointments with him to better learn how I can help him communicate and meet his milestones.
