Early Childhood Educator in Kitchener, Ontario

My experience working with children started in college where I took as many courses as I could that allowed me to do fieldwork with children. I continued this during University where I graduated with a BA in Psychology, emphasis in Child Psychology.When I graduated I was offered a position as a Senior child care counselor with the Royal Victoria Hospital Out-Patient Clinic for emotionally disturbed children. I have a home day care presently and have had one for 9 years. I also have 3 children, the youngest being 17 years old. I also have taken first aid and CPR a few times. I do need to renew them though. I worked with Autistic children throughout my fieldwork during college and university.\r\nIn my day care I was able to work with a little 4 yr old boy who was autistic, until he was able to attend KidsAbility in Waterloo.
