I have been a certified Alberta Education teacher since 2004. I began my teaching career as an Elementary Generalist and have taught grades 2 through 4, as well as grade 9, various high school courses and Learning Support. I worked for 3 years as an Early Learning Coordinator/Teacher for a Service Provider in Calgary. This experience expanded my overall knowledge, skill-set and abilities in working with young children and children with special needs. I have worked within a variety of preschool and kindergarten classrooms to support the classroom teacher with ideas and strategies to aid children in Alberta Education and Common Approach Programs. I have worked closely with families in their homes to help break down goals and strategies for their child’s success and have planned, organized and taught individual and group learning sessions.
