Early Childhood Educator in Stavely, Alberta

I have been working with children of all ages, since 1994 when I started volunteering at a local daycare when I was 16. We are a blended family of seven with teenagers ranging from 18 to 22 at home currently and one already married. I have worked with children of all ages, some of which had emotional or physical challenges, which I was able to work with my co-workers to help the child and the other children in the room to discover ways to assist the child to be able to cope in the classroom. I have also worked for I'm For Kids for two years, where I worked with children that were diagnosed with speech, behavioral, ASD along with psychological disorders. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and all our animals, camping and being outdoors. I also enjoy expanding my current knowledge, as I am always looking for new seminars I can attend either in person or online. In my profile you will see that I have been a personal support assistant, room lead, a daycare director and nanny. I truly believe that these positions have helped my be a much better daycare employee and a more compassionate daycare provider in the room itself. I truly enjoy providing new options in the room for the children and I am always on the look out for interesting ideas to bring into the classroom. In addition to all of this, my position as a personal support assistant gave me the opportunity to gain resources that I will be able to use in any childcare setting I am in.
