Halyna Kinasevych is a kind, compassionate, caring woman who has a real heart for children and youth. She has much experience working in different child and youth sectors, from early childhood to teens. Her university education, a Bachelors of Psychology, and graduate work in the same discipline, provide a strong foundational scaffold on which she has built a career in the helping professions. I have been fortunate to have known her my entire life, both as a friend, and, as an educator. And during that time, I have witnessed Halyna advocating for children and keeping the best interests of children as her guiding principle. Her ECE 3 designation, and role as a Daycare director show her dedication and committment to quality childcare in Canada. When living in Winnipeg, she also worked as an educational assistant with the Winnipeg School Division. Always generous with her time, she volunteered as a children's scouting counsellor with Plast ( a Ukrainian scouting organization), where her talent as a leader was applauded. Her genuine understanding and love of children, coupled with her organizational and leadership skills, are qualities of an outstanding children' caregiver.
