Early Childhood Educator in Waterloo, Ontario

I am a dedicated and qualified early childhood educator teacher with a passion for children’s learning and care, and experience working in the environment with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners. I have been working in child care for five years. I graduated from Algonquin college in Canada, holding early childhood education diploma and registered early childhood educator certificate. I am a mandarin native speaker and also fluent in English. I love working with children. I am responsible for the design and implementation of literacy activities for preschoolers and kindergarteners. I have developed proficient skills in designing creative and fun learning activities, observing and recording children’s developmental levels, and communicating with children, families and staffs. I have in-depth knowledge of child development and E.L.E.C.T Document. First, children construct their knowledge through interaction with the environment like doing hands-on activities. Second, children will learn when in the zone of proximal development that is neither too easy nor too difficult for them. Third, educators can support learning by providing more materials and creating the environment. Forth, I believe that language is a basic tool of interaction through which adults transmit the knowledge to children.
