Early Childhood Educator in Brooklin, Ontario

I have taught nursery school, been a Supervisor of licensed child cares in the private and public sectors, as well as, have experience in running my own home child care for 6 years. The age groups of children I have worked with range from infants to schoolage. I have taught through the themed, unit styled curriculum, as well as, implemented emergent curriculum. I have also had experience running a centre with a high number of special needs children. I completed a contract as a Supervisor of a centre with a high number of children with special needs, particularly autism. The centre also runs a secondary program of ABA therapy for many of these children by therapists with a Senior therapist overseeing the programs. I have gained a lot of experience with Early Interventionists, Speech therapists, and OTs through this position, as well as helping to prepare the children and families for the transition to the public board systems.
