I have a personal experience with children across all ages (infant to school age) because I'm a mother to two boys. Academically, I had four semesters of placement experience with infants, preschoolers and school agers. Recently, I provided childcare on a part time employment basis to an infant, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners through a Mobile Support PHD research project I provided assistance to children with extra support needs in a school setting. They have not been diagnosed with disability yet, but were recommended to be seen by an occupational therapist. Clearly, they were lagging behind in their reading and school work (writing, Math, Science).
