Early Childhood Educator in Markham, Ontario

My experience in teaching as an Registered Early Childhood Educator and as a Montessori Teacher for students from Infant - 6 years of age for the past 10 years has enabled me to develop a special interest in working with children with special needs. My years of experience have taught me the value of patience and encouragement in a classroom setting. I work one on one with each student, providing the individualized support and praise they require. I facilitate a “hands on” approach curriculum whereby, I use manipulatives, visuals and technology to engage and motivate my students. I have completed the Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Certificate Program at Humber College and undergraduate degree in Psychology at York University. Throughout my course of study, I have been able to plan an individual program and provide intensive support for students and their families who have been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
