My name is Viriato Castelo-Branco, Mozambican; Teacher by profession, undergraduate in conclusion of Communication Sciences studies. At the present, I am working as Institutional Partnership Development, Fundraising and Communications National Coordinator at SOS Children’s Villages Maputo. As Program Coordinator, one of the biggest responsibilities include Support SOS Children’s Villages Mozambique to succeed in Institutional Partnership Development and to secure new financial resources to support the Organizations Programs in Maputo, Inhambane, Sofala, Manica, Tete and Pemba, based on a clearly stablished communications plan. Overall Program Management includes likewise – Planning, Staff orientation, Admin - Finance & Logistics. Most of my 23 years work experience was built through my involvement in Civil Society development and Community empowerment programs, which has provided me opportunities to develop relevant skills on writing proposals, budgeting, program managing, monitoring and evaluation. As trainer I have implemented participatory approaches and other methods that are relevant for Institutional and Social Development. Besides, my studies in Communication Sciences provided me with good planning and analytical competences, adding more value to the Organizational and decision making capabilities that I have put on my career to improve my work performance. Other pertinent gained experience include: Facilitation, Problem solving, negotiating and Networking skills to reach key stakeholders. I strongly believe I can make substantial contribution by implementing good policies and practices to work out your Organizations Communications Plan, based on my experience and studies.
