Early Childhood Educator in Ottawa, Ontario

I am seeking for any position related to child care, such as Early childhood educator, Nanny, Day care teaching position, teacher assistant for children with special needs. I have four years of hands-on experience in the childcare arena. I worked as a supply teacher at Barrhaven Child Care Centre, also worked at Pinecrest-Queensway Headstart Nursery School (Ottawa) where my job responsibilities were to teach, play, reading sessions, coordinating indoor & outdoor activities, administer meals and cleaned up after eating, help with toilet training and bedtime assistance for the kids aged 2.5 to 5. Before that, I worked as a special education teacher at a school (conducted by Bangladesh Army) for children with special needs where the age of the kids was 5 to 14. I also worked as a nanny for several families. To work efficiently with children with special needs I had to be so patient and creative. There I used to keep the students effectively engage in an assortment of activities that were helpful to build up their life skills and development of their cognitive, social, emotional, communication and motor skills, at the same time I always had to maintain a vigilant eye on their health and safety. I have sufficient knowledge in ages and stages of child development as well as child psychology. My educational background is a Bachelor in Education (special education major) and Masters in Education (special education major). I am certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED by St.John Ambulance, Canada. I also have taken part in several courses on principles of healthy child development. I always enjoy working with children, and I do my best to make our time together fun, healthy, and educational. All my educational background and experiences are related to children.
