Early Childhood Educator in Markham, Ontario

I have worked as an Educational Assistant for the York Region School Board for 6 years. I had developed and operated my own daycare program from home. I have enjoyed working with children. It is been rewarding and fulfilling. I have taken Child and Youth Worker Courses at Centennial College which prepared me to work with children who had Special Needs. I learned about children who had challenges in social, emotional, behavioural and mental functioning.I supported children, one on one who had challenges such as :learning disabilities, autistic tendencies , aggressive behaviours and developmental delays. I assisted them in developing their skills and helped them to feel accepted and included in the classroom.
