Early Childhood Educator in Edmonton, Alberta

I am currently working as a Headstart teacher for E4C teaching children from 3.5 to 4.5 years of age. I provide kindergarten readiness learning through play pogramming and complete IPPs for both classes of 16 students. I have worked at a variety of daycares and childcare centers throughout edmonton as a daycare staff member in both mixed aged and separated age group rooms. I also have worked for Community Options as a co-teacher for their preschool program and was a coordinating teacher for one child, working with her team to provide her with IPP goals and support. I did practicums in infant rooms. I also taught kindergarten in Innisfree Alberta from September 2009-August 2010. I have had a practicum with GRITT, an organization who works with children with special needs. I was a worker with two children, visited them at their homes and programs twice a week, working on IPP goals. I have also worked with an 8 year old girl at her home 2 days a week providing IPP play and family support.
