Early Childhood Educator in Brampton, Ontario

Since graduating in 2004, I have worked in the ECE field with a variety of children and age groups. I began as a school age teacher for 5.5 yrs I worked full time as a preschool teacher for 6 months and at a private school as the head preschool teacher for 2 yrs. I have opened a home childcare for 2 years and worked with children from the ages of 10 months to 3 years. Lastly I worked as a supply RECE/DECE for two boards in the 2014/201... school year, Toronto Catholic District School Board and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. Working all these years I have acquired the skill to know that each child is different and will have a variety of ways of learning. Being able to observe the child(ren),that is the most important quality in a teacher. Knowing how they learn and how to help foster their social skills as well. While working with DPCDSB as a supply DECE we were also required to work as ERWs. The ERWs would leave notes on how to care for the child- I assisted about 5-6 throughout my year as a supply.
