Early childhood educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

We've grown and we're looking to hire a full-time, enthusiastic and experienced Program Manager to join our Management team. We provide Before and After School care on school days and full day care on non-instructional days. We are a community based non-profit centre operating out of school.
Pre-Placement Requirements:
• All successful candidates will be required to submit a satisfactory pre-placement medical assessment including immunization record, current Child CPR-C and Standard First Aid certification and current Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check.
Major Responsibilities:
The Program Manager, is responsible for the overall management of the childcare program in partnership with the current Program Manager and Executive Director. Primary responsibilies include ensuring the planning and implementation of an age appropriate program that reflects “How Does Learning Happen” and exceeds the Assessment for Quality Improvement requirements set out by Toronto Children’s Services. You will inspire and coach staff to enable them to provide the highest quality of care and programs possible. The Program Managers are the key team players in working in partnership with the parents and school staff.
Other responsibilities will include completing administrative tasks and responsibilities in the office. These tasks may include but are not limited to: childcare fees, newsletters, creation of templates to be used in the centre, communication with parents and other stake holders, attending Board meetings, etc.
Key Qualifications:
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
- Post graduation experience working with and caring for the individual needs of kindergarten and school age children as a Registered Early Childhood Educator
- Detailed experience working as a Child Care Supervisor including length of service and age groups served
- Must be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and be a member in good standing.
- Strong ability to work effectively as a team member and accurately follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must be comfortable and competent using Microsoft programs including the use of spreadsheets and creating templates
- Experience with Quickbooks is a definite asset
- Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, How Does Learning Happen, Child and Family Services Act with the ability to apply such legislation in the workplace.
