Early Childhood Educator Job in Markham, Ontario

We are looking for a RECE Supervisor for our Before and After School Program. Before School program shift: 6:30am-9:30am After School program shift: 3:00pm-6:00pm We are flexible in combining Before School shift with ongoing programming to make this a full time role. This will depend on the candidate skills. You will perform some or all of the following duties: Be familiar with and consistently apply the principles of EdTech Hive with respect to the mission, vision, values and policy Deliver fun hands-on, educational STEM programming for youth 4-14 Liaise with students, families and community groups in a professional fashion Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children May supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants. Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping Attend staff meetings Assist with promotion of programs and registration May assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
